I am trying to book a ferry from Igoumenista to Patras in August and although there it appears in the interrail app when i got to the superfast/anek website the journeys do no seem to be there, does anyone know why and how I can book this journey? Thank you!!

Hm, indeed, that's a bit strange. I'd say ask their customer service at superfast@superfast.com how you can book Igoumenitsa to Patra.
What date and departure time can't you find?
You should indeed book on the anek.gr or superfast.com. If you're under 26, then best on anek.gr.
Thank you for reply. I am trying to book this train, but when I go to the superfast website, if I select igoumenitsa as the departing port I cannot then put Patras as the port of arrival.
