Information on the Nightjet services June 2026

Hello there,

We are planning on travelling from Brussels to Salzburg on the NJ469 June 1st. When we were planning our trip last week, we were able to book onto the June 1st service. However this weekend, we were going to sort out all out seat reservations and accomodation and a key part of our trip (this night train) we are unable to reserve our seats.

Looking online there is extensive maintenance works on the lines and many of the services prior are also showing un-reservable. With June 3rd being the first train in a while where you can actually book again. Just wondering if anyone has any information on the confidence on this service becoming available again (as it appeared last week)? and when would OBB likely provide confirmation of this service?

I have set up an alert through the OBB website, but given we have booked certain trains, it would be good to know sooner rather than later regarding this service.

Thank you in advance

Your best bet is to ask ÖBB, but in fact nobody knows. I guess it will take a few weeks before they'll have finalised the timetable.

Hello!
I’m experiencing the same problem: I’m planning to book reservations for April 1st, from Vienna to Rome in a mini cabin😶. I’ve sent a message to OBB but no answer so far… I guess I need to reschedule the journey.

I think there's a technical problem with this train, because no date can currently be booked, not even today or tomorrow. It's only in the direction Vienna → Rome; the other direction can be booked.

That means the train will run and you just need to wait for ÖBB to fix the problem. You can get a notification from the NJ website if you want.

Ciao!

Thank you so much for your reply.

I’ve just purchased the Wien–Venezia–Roma option. It was a bit more expensive than I expected, but I hope I’ll be able to request a refund or make a change in case the Wien–Roma option becomes available later.

Since I’ll be traveling during Easter week, I thought I might have trouble finding available seats..

I've also asked for a notification, I'll update my post as soon as I get one.
