Lyon → Geneva (Oct 28)

Lyon Part-Dieu to Genève-Cornavin on Oct 28 with a 1st Class Eurail. Is it TGV Lyria that needs a reservation, or TER regional option with no reservation. Late morning or early afternoon travel.

TER doesn't need a reservation.

And though it doesn't show as first class in the timetable, they do have a first class coach on the TER.

@Thomas2025

You have one TGV Lyria every day only in Summer. Now, unfortunately, only TER are available, in my opinion the worst line for reaching Switzerland. If you are lucky, you will find a small 1st class compartment and perhaps free seats.

Wonderful, thank you for the reply.
