I have made two reservations for an outward journey and for the return journey. the cost of each has been deducted from my bank account but I have only received the reservation for the return journey in my mailbox. what now?

Were these made through the Interrail reservations service?
Same happened to me. Just get in touch with them and mention your travel date. They can find out if it’s got stuck somewhere
Also check in the Reservations overview if the missing reservation is listed there. If so, then you should be able to download it from there.
