On 15 August I would like to travel with Nightjet 470 from Offenburg 23:35 to Hamburg 07:53.
But the train is not available for sale yet. Does anyone know if and when the reservations will be available?

If I find this journey in the DB planner, there is a notification:

The stops Karlsruhe Hbf, Bruchsal, Heidelberg Hbf, Darmstadt Hbf and Frankfurt(Main)Süd are omitted. The train is diverted. The reason is construction work.

That is fine with me. I don’t need these stops. But if I click at “Journey information” there is another notification:

The stops Basel SBB, Basel Bad Bf, Freiburg(Breisgau) Hbf and Offenburg are omitted. The train is diverted. The reason is construction work.

That does not sound good… But the planner does still find the journey.

My research so far:

For the journey 15 August, the planner shows that NJ470 has 7 stops between Offenburg and Hamburg Hbf. On a normal day it has 11 stops.

Bruchsal, Heidelberg Hbf, Darmstadt Hbf and Frankfurt(Main)Süd is missing, but Offenburg is still there. (If I make a search from the start in Zürich, the train also stops in Basel SBB, but not in Basel Bad Bf and Freiburg).

But there is difference between the list of stops in the planner and omitted stops in the notifications. I am confused… At least DB and Nightjet/ÖBB agrees in the list of stops.

I have tried to dig a little deeper into the reason for the disruption and i found this:

Offenburg ⇄ Freiburg: Advance Notice of Construction Work - DB Störungskarte Fernverkehr

It says that there is construction work between Herbolzheim and Offenburg. The schedule information should be updated. It also says that some ICE trains will be rerouted via Singen. There is no mention of the Nightjet (Probably because it is not a DB train). But since the construction work ends i Offenburg, the Nightjet should be able to make a stop here. It is also a bit strange the planner skips the stop in Basel Bad and Freiburg, but still stops in Basel - but that is not my concern. And I can’t find anything at the “Störungskarte” that causes the omitted stops between Karlsruhe and Frankfurt.

Will the Nightjet go between Offenburg and Hamburg? Or should I start looking for some accommodation near Offenburg instead?

That looks like the NJ may also be diverted via Singen and a stop in Offenburg is then still possible. When the timetable will be ready and the reservations will be opened is anyone's guess. DB InfraGo is often only ready with the engineering works planning around 3 weeks in advance, so it could be as late as that.

NJ 470 on 16/8 is also interesting: it is shown as leaving Zurich 1.5 hours earlier, still via Basel, but not bookable either.

To me, it looks like the planning is ongoing, the timetable is not finished and you should not attach too much value to whatever you currently see in the planners.
