I will travel from Berlin to Budapest by night train. I made a seat reservation (39€ for couchette). The ticket I received is for Francfort to Budapest. But I think that the Berlin-Francfort part of the trip doesn't need a seat reservation using Interrail pass.
Berlin-Budapest part of the trip is only 40min. Do you think I can take the train from Berlin or should I take it from Francfort ?

Then yes it's not an issue as your couchette cannot be occupied by someone else. Maybe let staff know before you board but don't worry :)
