I’m trying to book a train from Utrecht central to Berlin on the 5th of August. I can add the reservations to my cart but when i go to book it says ‘one of your legs is unavailable’. I saw on pervious replies you can use the OBB website to book seat reservations. I’m just wondering how that works in terms of booking seat and not having a proper ticket??

The Eurail website is way too expensive for this reservation (or optional reservations in general). It charges €8 per person and train instead of €3 (ÖBB) or €4.50 per person and journey (DB, including all trains). ÖBB even has reservations free of charge in 1st class.

On tickets.oebb.at, you can add the Interrail/Eurail discount and then choose "One-way tickets and day tickets”. On the DB website (bahn.com), you can use "Seat only”.
