Keeps calm and carries on

Hello everyone, I am actually traveling but my trip will soon end. I planned to come back from Berlin to Avignon with two different trains: One from Berlin to Strasbourg on the 18th of December. And the second is from Strasbourg to Avignon on the 19th of December. I went to a train station to book my seats because I saw somewhere you could include both trains in your pass. Even if one is from France to France.

My problem is the train from Strasbourg to Avignon doesn't appeared on my pass. I kept a day free on my pass especially in case a controller says something. But what else can I do ? Thank you in advance for your precious advices !

Sorry it's the opposite, I used the outbound a while ago to leave France. So the inbound left I choose to use it for the Berlin-Strasbourg train on the 18th. Should I cancel ? And select the Strasbourg - Avignon on the 19th as the inbound ? Or is it too late ?

Cancel the entire travel day on 18/12. That will also cancel usage of the in/outbound.

Which exact train are you using on 18/12?

What do you mean ‘it doesn’t appear on my pass’?

You should be able to add the train from Strasbourg to Avignon like any other train, as long as you have a day left on your pass, and as long as you haven’t used both your inbound/ outbound days.

You will still need a reservation on the TGV. You can buy this for €10 or €20, or you can indeed get this for free at the guichet in Strasbourg (although not all staff know how to issue this).

The thing is I already use the inbound day and have only one left, the outbound. But I can't use the Berlin-Strasbourg AND Strasbourg-Berlin as an outbound on my pass. I paid for the reservation on both trains, even if It was supposed to be free, because they didn't understand what I told them.

Sorry I forgot to tell you I used the outbound for the train Berlin-Strasbourg. So now I don't know what to do.

What do you mean by "the train doesn't appeared on my pass”? Do you mean the train doesn't appear below the pass barcode for that date?

A few questions:

  1. Did you save the train to your trip?
  2. Did you add the train to your pass?
  3. Is the toggle switch for this train yellow?
  4. Before tapping on "Show ticket”, did you select the correct travel day (19/12)?
  5. Do you have enough in/outbound days left (you only have 2 in total)? In particular, how are you travelling to Strasbourg on 18/12 and if that is by train, how have you entered the train to Strasbourg? If you want to save an inbound for Strasbourg to Avignon, and are using a separate ticket to cover the part from the border to Strasbourg (like I explained in the previous discussion), then you should only enter the German part of the journey on 18/12 into the planner.

Do keep in mind it's generally not a good idea to activate travel days in advance. You can only cancel travel days before validity starts.

As I explained before, you should NOT use the second in/outbound for the journey to Strasbourg if you need it for Strasbourg to Avignon.

But I can't use the Berlin-Strasbourg AND Strasbourg-Berlin as an outbound on my pass.

Ok I'm gonna try to cancel it. The train I'm using on the 18/12 is the Berlin-Strasbourg.

So I cancelled the entire 18/12 day and chose the 19/12 as the inbound. But now, I can't add the 18/12 on my pass. They said I already used my inbound...

If that is the direct ICE, then you need a reservation from option 1 as I explained here. That reservation includes a ticket for the French part of the journey, which means you do not need your pass for that. And you should therefore only enter the German part of the journey on 18/12.
