Could anyone advise on the cheapest way (as far as reservation fees are concerned) to get from Paris to Geneva

Will be setting off at about 330pm

Suppose you are travelling tomorrow, I’d suggest:

TGV: Paris Gare de Lyon 4:18 pm → Bellegarde 6:59 pm, reservation costs 20€

TER: Bellegarde 7.07 or 7.34 pm → Genève 7.35 or 8 pm, no reservation

use www.raileurope.com to book.

Edit: The TGV at 2.18 pm is available for 10€. Regional trains across the boarder are frequent.
