I’m looking to book a sleeper from Paris to Vienna in January. They aren’t loaded yet, but I was checking prices for sample dates in November but they all seem to be full already or not available. I did find one date in October, but then others referred to track works meaning the train wouldn’t run.
Does anyone have info (or know where to check) on the track works? If they continue on into January this may be the end of that particular plan.

You are way too early. The 2024 timetable change (from mid-December) is usually uploade some time in October.
Then there can be engineering works pushing the booking date even further (likely the case for November).
I wouldn't worry too much, January is not peak season.
