Pass exchange effect on seating reservations (SJ Sweden)

I will be travelling in Scandinavia in September and got a 15 day Interrail pass. I will probably downgrade it to 10 days due to travel plan changes. However I have already booked seating reservations for trains in Sweden via SJ stating the pass number of my 15 day pass. In the reservation in the App it also states my pass number and there is no button to change it. Is it possible to just change the pass number on my reservations without paying extra?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Don’t worry. I have travelled several times in Sweden with Interrail where I have made the reservation with a different pass number than the pass I used for the travel.

This by no means an official answer and probably not the correct one, but my personal experience. My wife and me traveled last year sweden with interrail and we am right now in Sweden. Did a total of 5 trips in SJ trains with compulsory seat reservations. We were never asked to show our seat reservation tickets by a member of train staff. I had to show it only once when an elderly lady (i.e. about my age) claimed my seat to prove that she was in error. For one reservation I mistyped a pass number (we have paper passes and did the reservation on the Vy Norrtag site.) and I sipmly did not care.

Most reservations don't show the pass number so it doesn’t matter.

Some reservations do show the pass number, but nobody checks it, so it still doesn’t matter.

I'm not sure how it is nowadays with SJ reservations, but don't worry about it.
