I am trying to plan a family rail trip across Europe for the summer of 2027 but can’t access the train schedules yet (understandably). When do you think they will be ready?

I usually use Excel for keeping track of my plans. DB, the Germany Railways, is a good place to find timetables for many countries.
You are way too early!
It's enough to start plannings by the end of next year, if you want to use a Eurail pass, you could even decide later what to do.
You can start planning now if you like. Even if the train schedules won't be fixed for another year, you can make a rough plan based on the timetable for this year.

I too use a spreadsheet for planning. You can start by downloading a copy of the Interrail map and determining where you’d like to visit. Current timetables will at least give you an idea of how long the journeys will take.
And then you get be excited. :-)
We are doing a similar trip right now with 2 kids and documenting our planning etc on substack (admin-let me know if this isnt ok to share). Tickets tended to come available about 3 months in advance of the trip so we just made our reservations as they opened up. Good to book early with kids especially if you want the seats for a group of 4 with a table.
