I am planning a trip to France and visiting Paris and St. Malo. I am planning my route in August from Germany over Paris, staying a few days there and then to St. Malo. It’s impossible for me to add St. Malo as a destination; I can’t figure out how to get my trains to St. Malo from Paris. (btw: Rennes works well). Any ideas or help how I can plan my trip to St. malo?

Again: forget that planner app-use another one. The one of local trains (TER-sncf-Bretagne-breizh go) should be best-evidently, then comes bahn.com for the best general overview.
AFAIK-depending on season/day there are a very few through TGV on from P to there-or else change Rennes.to a TER.
From others I understand app sometimes has its special gloves to use: Maybe like Saint Malo-check again the TER site how they write it there-perhaps there is even a breton name for it. Use manual once you reach the trip itself and need to add to report
