Prague to Budapest- conflicting information on whether reservation is required

Hi,

I’m trying to book seat reservations on the 9:12 from Prague to Budapest on October 8th.  On the horrid Eurail app it says seat reservations necessary, on the ghastly eurail website it says ticket not available and on OBB it says seat reservation not necessary…..any idea which one is correct, oy!

Reservation is optional for this train. You can book reservations if you want via cd.cz or tickets.oebb.at (3€).

Reservations will open later on, October is to long away.

You can book at the ČD, the Czech Railway once the booking period has opened. It's too early now.

Enter Interrail/Eural as discount card and then select Interrail Global pass.

Forget it-certainly at that time. No need at all.

BEST general site to show what is really needed is on bahn.com-oebb.at is nearly same. Use that also for all these adventurous fruther trips.

PS; you could even check, if you have a few spare mins, to see what Regiojet.cz charges for the same trip in its own yellow trains-you may even qualify for whatever of the many discounts. 10€ is quite possible.
