I have been looking into reserving my seats for my Italy trip through the ÖBB website as many have recommended. However, it says that the ticket must be printed at ÖBB self service machines or at ÖBB ticket offices in Austria. Is this required, or could I also just show my ticket on my phone? I’m just not sure how I’m supposed to print these if I’m not actually in Austria.

It says that you have to print it at the Ticket Office/Machine or at home. But some Traveller reported, that showing on the phone is ok in Italy.

It says you should print it-you may choose where/when.

As IT angelo tells, for just a RES this is not really needed-except perhaps for special accomodations in overnight trains. ALL those old-style internetshops -in IT there are still many- and most printshops (from your USB) can also take care of that for a few cents
