My outbound journey, Bucharest-Vienna, started yesterday.but in Budapest we have been anounced that we have to change the train due to tehnical problems. We have been directed to a RJ. Do I need to mark another day of travel in my interrail pass?

No. You do not need to use an additional day due to a delayed or cancelled overnight train.
