Hello, since one week I try to find a way to make a reseration for train ECE 151 from Freiburg/Germany to Milano. But neither at Interrail.eu nor directly at Bahn.de can I get a reservation for a seat. How can I manage that? Or is the train not free for a global pass Interrail? Please help me.

The train is included. There is a mandatory reservation between Chiasso and Milan (€10); price from further north is €13.

DB sell the reservation online with this link (only works from/to Germany):

https://www.bahn.de/buchung/intern/start#?KL=2&ET=PASSZUSCHLAG

Do NOT check "book seat only”. Adding a BahnCard discount reduces the price.

If it still doesn't work, then please mention travel date.

Hello, thank you for your answer. But using your mentioned link brings me exactly, were I cannot book only a reservation. If I do not use “book seat only” I have to pay a normal ticket, as I understand.

Here I give additional information: I already created a trip in the Interrail.eu App. And my whole trip should be from Freiburg (Germany) to Rome. To have the best connection, I would like to use the ECE first, and then the Frecciarossa form Milano to Rome. In the app, I will be forwarded to the booking tool of interrail.eu, and I could make an immediate booking for the Frecciarossa, but the is no way, to book the ECE. And no further information, what to do. DB told me, that the ECE is run by the Swiss SBB, and that I should book there. But there they tell me, I should book via Interrail.eu. How can I find a solution?

The URL I gave is specifically meant for booking pass reservations from/to Germany like this one. Have you tried it? You'll need the Passzuschlag Global Pass:

DB can book this reservation: at the ticket office, online (see screenshot) or by phone.

Reservations are separate from the Rail Planner app and what you have entered there is not relevant for booking the reservation. The Rail Planner app also only knows part of the websites where you can book. This overview is much better, and it will also tell you which websites are best. Remember that Interrail add at least €2 to every reservation if you book there.

DB is running this train in Germany, not SBB, who only run this train in Switzerland. So what DB told you is incorrect.
