Reservation in app versus website

I have been planning my August interrailing trip (my first time) starting on the website (because of bigger screen) and then adding them all again on the app (it doesn’t seem to want to sync between the two).

One journey I looked at on 9 Aug. leave Paris Est at 10.54 and get to Gengenbach at 13.48 shows on the website that I need a reservation from Paris to Strasbourg (no surprise there). On the web the next two stages of the journey, Strasbourg to Offenburg, Offenburg to Gengenbach show as ‘you are ready to board’. On the app however it says I need reservations for the next 2 stages as well.

Which is the correct one and how do I know?

There are several of these instances in my itinery but I thought one example was enough.

Thanks!

You've run into the latest bug in the app: after saving a reservation-free train into your trip, it shows up with "reservation required”. Of course you only need a reservation for the TGV. The best place to book TGVs is raileurope.com (use "Add rail pass”).

In general, check this page:
