Reservation problem

I would like to make a reservation for the London Paddington to Penzance route, as described here: https://www.seat61.com/interrail-and-eurail-reservations.htm#how-to-make-reservations-in-britain. When I select ‘Make a reservation’, the mentioned pop-up with ‘Next’ appears for a fraction of a second, immediately followed by an error message. I have tested this on several browsers and also on mobile devices, and the result is the same everywhere. My pass has not yet been activated, but I don't think that should be the cause of the problem. How can I make my reservation? Any help would be appreciated.

A few screenshots from a short screen video. The whole thing happens at top speed, with no chance of catching the Next button.

It won’t be anything to do with your pass. They don’t ask for proof.

GWR have recently changed their booking platform, and I don’t have any experience with the new version, but it seems to work OK for me with a test.

You could also try their app, or the Transpenine website, which can also do free reservations (for any company, not just TP) or indeed a station when you arrive in the UK.

GWR doesn't work for me at all. I can't log into the mobile app. I am able to log in via my browser, but I cannot change my details or delete my account entirely. I hope they have better control over their trains than their programming 😊
Transpennine does not appear to offer reservations for this route, only tickets. Thank you anyway, I just hope the train isn't too packed or that I have enough time at the station to make a reservation.

Works for me. What's your travel date and departure time?

Works for me:

You could also contact GWR via one of their social media and ask them for a reservation.
