Hello, I deciced to move from Vienna to Budapest on a train which does not require reservation. On the website the route seemed to be included in the pass, however I wanted to book a seat but when I tried to pay a message said that the route is not available. Does it mean that I cannot take the train or simply I cannot book a seat?

Funny-just above (well, now) is very same remark for Bp->W. Must be a glitch-read that answer. The hourly OeBB/MAV trains are withOUT mandatory RES-its optional-most trains come from further (often DE=germany). Dont worry-dont pay, just find some space.

Please mention date and departure time. Which website did you try?
