Why are there two times set for a train that leaves from the same station?

Best answer by Al_G

The Eurostar services from/to London have security, immigration and customs checks before boarding so have a minimum check-in time of 30 minutes.

For some reason Eurail has added 5 minutes to that and is displaying this.

This is a procedure unique to these trains.

Do you have an example in mind? You may post a screenshot here and we'll advise.

2 possibilities in my opinion:

- 2 train units coupled together, each with a different number (i.e. one train does Cologne - Brussels - Paris, another one Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris. Those two would run coupled from Brussels)

- 2 totally different trains with the same last stop but using different routes in between (possible but rare)

Again, if you'd like advice give more details.

My friend and I are Americans and will be traveling for about 10 days so I want to make sure we are buying the right things. This is the actual seat reservation I made but I want to make sure that is okay before I book the last two necessary seat reservations.

Okay perfect. I assumed that’s what it meant just making sure before purchasing. I will make sure we check in at least one hour before just to be safe. Thank you 🙏🏽
