Hi all, we are going to purchase a 10 day over 2 months global Eurail Pass, 1st Class, as we are travelling from the UK to Budapest to Switzerland and then into Italy. The only thing I'm confused about is booking reservations for trains in Italy, and what class 1st class Eurail relates to on the many classes on the high speed Italian trains, Business, Premium etc?
Also do I make the reservations through the rail planner, or Italiarail or somewhere else?

Currently the best place to book Italian trains is www.raileurope.com as they charge no booking fee and they give seat selection.

1st class is either in 1st (IC, Frecciabianca, Frecceargento) or Business (Frecciarossa) , Executive is not allowed and Premium is just a slightly better 2nd class offering.
