Forgive me for being clueless!

I will be traveling from Paris to Rome in April. Are the reservation fees separate from the Euro Rail Pass? If I am reading it correctly, I need the Euro Rail Pass and the Reservation (for an additional fee)? Is this correct? Otherwise, I may not have a seat on the train.

It’s my first time traveling to Europe, I’m beyond excited but I am a little unsure of what I am doing!

Thank you!

The Eurail pass is your ticket, but reservations are separate indeed. Some trains have mandatory reservations and travelling from Paris to Rome will most likely include such trains.

Ok, that is what I was thinking. I just wanted to be sure before I spent the funds to do it!

I appreciate it. Thank you!
