HI - it says my train I plan to get from Lyon to Milan ‘The route is expected to be added to the network in mid-summer’ - does anyone know when this might be? I plan to travel on 20th of July

Nobody knows.
An alternative is a TER from Lyon to Chambéry (no reservation) and then a TGV to Milan. Best place to book the TGV is on raileurope.com (use "Add rail pass”). This reservation can be fully refunded until 30 minutes after departure, so should the Frecciarossa become available before 20 July, you can book it and get a refund for the TGV reservation. I wouldn't count on it though.
