Hi, we are in Australia, travelling to Europe in 2 weeks. We have booked all our trains. We have been struggling with booking ‘seat reservations’ on the appropriate trains. A travel agent has now said that we cannot do that from here, and needs to be done when we get to each station. Is this correct? We have the travel train tickets on our Eurail passes, does this guarantee out travel, irrespective of the seat reservation? Thanks again.

You have already been given detailed answers on your first thread here

If you have more questions you should give specifics of what you are having difficulty with.

I’m sorry I know this has been ongoing but we have had so much trouble with this. Now told something different, and just wanting clarification .

Well I'm not sure the travel agent knows better that this forum specialised in Eurail/Interrail passes.

He should know that you can do the vast majority of seat reservations online (even on eurail.com).

Let us know for specific questions

The majority of trains don't require seat reservations so simply board and find free seats, the Eurail Pass is your ticket.

Thankyou so much, this is precisely what we were wanting to know.  Much relieved.
