Seat reservation - advance information before buying a pass

Hi there!

I’m planning a round trip from Hungary to Toledo in a few months and I’m interested if Interrail worth the price for me. The first train would probably be an EuroNight train from Budapest to Zurich. It can be booked on jegy.mav.hu and on shop.oebbtickets.at, however when I check “seat reservation only”, both of these display the trains as ticket not available, no matter the date. But If I uncheck it, I could buy a ticket without a problem. Interrail website won’t let me see its booking page before actually buying the pass. So my problem is that I don’t know if I’ll be able to book a seat, what type of seat it will be and what will it cost, without actually buying the pass. Is there a way to know these information in advance?

Thanks,

Zoltan

Don’t choose ‘seat reservations only’ on ÖBB. Add a rail pass where it says 1x adult, and then search as if you’re buying a ticket.
