Hi all

I would like to take the train from Athens to Thessaloniki on August 16th, but the Interrail app indicates a compulsory seat reservation. I cannot do this via the Interrail website (Not available from Interrail.eu. This seat reservation can’t be booked on our website. Check 'More information' for other ways to book.), but I can’t seem to find a way to reserve a seat via the Hellenic Trains or Happyrail websites either.

Does anyone know how to do this? I will be in Athens from August 8th on - would it be an option to make a reservation at the train station in person? Thanks in advance!

Athens is in Greece, so where in Greece do you want to go?

Oh waw sorry I meant to Thessaloniki*

When in Hellas/GR-go to the station, go in the ticket centre, show pass, ask/tell-they will speekee essentiel /en/ and have done it many more times before.

This old-time honored system will still apply in quite some countreis-not surprisingly there were labour is cheap and unions strong to protect jobs

Thanks a lot!! I’ll go to the ticket centre once I arrive :)
