You can either call SNCF or visit a SNCF ticket office. They can help you.
As a general rule operators will seat all passengers on a reservation together if possible (up to 4 of course). You can check for availability of domestic TGVs and whether there are any 10 euro tickets left at this site, as well as buy reservations.
