Hey, my friend and I are currently in Sofia. In two days we want to take the train to Bucharest. In Bulgaria you cannot book any seat reservations online. We went to the central rail station to book the reservations in advance as we leave very early in the morning. There, most people at the ticket desks could not speak any english or were overwhelmed by our questions about seat reservations. The digital ticket machine was not working. Did anyone else have this problem already and can help us with ideas on how to book the reservations?

These seat reservations can only be booked at the ticket office. Sofia has an international ticket office and it's best to go there. It's more likely they speak English there. If not, then use Google Translate.
