Seat reservations Salzburg to Amsterdam in June - yes or no?

Hello everyone,

Travelling with my niece from Australia in June. We are going from Salzburg to Amsterdam (yes a long day).We both have 1st class global Eurail passes.  The trip is-  Salzburg (EC212) → Munich (ICE 918)→ Dusseldorf  (ICE124)→ Amsterdam . The Eurail seat reservation page suggests  seat reservations optional on first two stages but recommended  from Dusseldorf to Amsterdam. RailEurope suggests no reservations needed.

With first class passes, should we get reservations on any or all stages of the trip or will Thursdays (19th June) be fine to just arrive and find a seat?

Many thanks

Jon

Hello @Jon Callow

You can reserve seats on bahn.de, you will pay the fee (6,90 € per person) only once for all trains.

In case you do decide to reserve dont use the Interrail reservation Service. DB( https://int.bahn.de/en ) sells the Reservation for the complete Journey (3 trains) for 6,90€. I usually travel without Reservation because i am more flexible that way.
