I bought this as a promotion on 17 December 2024.  Our plan is to use it within 11 months.  But the pass states valid from 1.2.25 to 28.2.25.  I don’t know where those dates came from.  But it’s presumably why the eurail site said not valid for a reservation is March.   Was I wrong in thinking it would be valid for 11 months?

It sounds like maybe you’ve activated the pass to start on 1 February?

If it’s a one month pass, starting on 1 Feb, then it would be correctly expiring on 28 Feb.

If so, make sure you deactivate it now.

As far as I’m aware, even passes bought in the sale in December will be valid for 11 months.

If your pass states a validity period, then you've already activated it (you explicitly selected a start date). Just cancel the activation now and don't re-activate it until the day you start your trip, you know your first train is running and you'll be on it.

The pass isn't valid for 11 months, but for 1 month. However, you can start the validity period no later than 11 months after purchase. If you bought a paper pass, you must state the start date of the validity when you purchase the pass.

Thanks all.  I have been so stupid.  Sorry to have started all this.  Not possible to change active dates.  Must buy new passes and apply for refunds for these passes. We honestly thought that giving the start date was for the 11 month period!  Just hope these posts will help others IF there is anyone out there as dim as I!!

You can't get a refund for an active pass if the validity has started. If the validity hasn't started, you just deactivate the pass and active it again the first day of your travel.

Please go to My Pass, select your pass, tap on the three dots at the top right, and tap ‘Deactivate Pass’:

If that doesn't work for you, then please post a screenshot of where you are stuck.
