I’m looking at going from Wroclaw to Torun and while there is a direct train, it’s at 6.50am and actually takes longer than journeys with a change. Faster routes later on (albeit more expensive) have a 15- or 16-minute change in Poznan - from Plat. 5 track 1 to Plat. 11 track 56 or Plat. 8 track 51 to Plat. 1 track 16. I’ve looked at a map of the station on the PKP website, but I’m not convinced either way (also because most journey searches for Poland show short connections). Also, I prefer to make a seat reservation for the second train (the first is mandatory SR). The trip will be in mid-June, but I’m hoping these routes/times are more or less what will be available then as well. Any personal experience of changing at Poznan Glowny much appreciated, thanks.

Hi @Sylva MC ! Hopefully, you’ve been able to find some insights from other travelers elsewhere, as it seems no one has shared their experience here yet.

While I can't speak from personal experience, if you'd prefer a longer and more flexible transfer time instead of the 15-minute connection, one option is to split your journey: take a train from Wrocław Główny to Poznań Główny, then choose a later train from Poznań Główny to Toruń Główny based on your preferred timing. This way, you can plan a more comfortable transfer at Poznań without the rush.

Hope this helps! 😊

Thank you for reaching out on this. I have noted to tweak the transfer time if I do end up on this route. Much appreciated :)
