I am looking at buying a one country pass i France and I am wondering if the local trains such as TER are run by SNCF, the pass is valide on SNCF and Thalys.

TERs are currently all run by SNCF. Interrail is valid on all SNCF trains and also on Thalys (with reservation).

Do check the country information.

TER never have REServations (except those leave Paris for Normandie on some days=labelled as NoMad).

SNCF is also much noted for many and hardly announced strikes-regional or country wide

There are just very, very few lines in FR that are not run by SNCF
