Hi all,

I’m trying to book Eurostar travel for January 2026 using my Eurail Global Pass, but Eurail keeps showing the message:

“Sorry, the journey details for this date are not available yet.”

However, when I check directly on the Eurostar site, trains are clearly running for my chosen date. I’m still within the 6-month window, so I was expecting pass-holder seats to be bookable by now.

Has anyone else run into this?

  • Is this just a delay in Eurail releasing the schedule?

  • Or could the pass-holder quota already be sold out?

  • Any insight or tips would be appreciated! I’d like to avoid paying full fare if possible.

Thanks in advance.

The annual timetable change is on 14/12/2025. Most railway companies haven't released their new timetables yet and will usually do that sometime in October. Eurostar have already released timetables and opened reservations for early 2026. Eurail indeed haven't updated their timetables yet to include the new data.

However, Eurail are neither the best place to check timetables (often out of date), nor to book reservations (more expensive, less reliable, and more).

Eurostar is best booked on www.raileurope.com (use "Add rail pass”). In general, use this page for advice on pass reservations:
