Want to take 00:35-10:44 Szolnok-Cluj on July 24th. OBB and Interrail reservations say no tickets available, on MAV there are non-reservation tickets available though.
Is there a quota for interrail reservations?
could I board the train without a reservation and hope for the best? Or pay on the train? I just want a seat, not bothered about a couchette.

There is no quota. There are couchettes available.
ÖBB should be able to book the train but they show the same price with and without a pass, so that's incorrect.
MÁV don't show the direct train.
The best is probably to call ÖBB (+43 5 1717) and ask whether they can send the reservation via e-mail.
