There are still direct trains from Amsterdam to Frankfurt shown on the DB app, but on the Rail Planner app they only appear until December 13, and nothing shows up after that. The strange thing is that this route doesn’t even require reservations, yet on my travel date, February 14, not even the transfer options show up—only trains that require reservations.
Because of this, I’m really unsure whether I should buy a Eurail Pass. I’m worried the trains might simply not appear later either. I don’t understand why this is happening. I was planning to get the pass for flexibility, but if the trains keep not showing up, it might be cheaper to just buy individual tickets instead.
