Hey! I won the DiscoverEU ticket, an interrail pass. I want to book a ticket from Romania to Budapest, but it sais that i can not book the ticket from the website. The train leaves at 04:00 so would that count as a night train, and that could be the problem? How could I solve the situation? The DiscoverEU app sais that I need a seat reservation. Is there anyone who booked a ticket from Romania to Budapest and could give me some advices? I would be really rateful.

International trains between Romania and Hungary can often be booked on https://jegy.mav.hu/

Price should be €2 or €3.

If that doesn't work form you then please mention route, date and departure time.

Hey! It seems to work. At the website I selected that I have an interrail pass, and now I can book a ticket for 2 euro. My only question is how will they verify my pass? I just book the ticket with the discount applied, show the ticket I get on the train and thats all? Or do I need to show something else as well on the train ex. my DiscoverEU account or something?

Thank you for your response, it helped a lot!

You're not booking a ticket, but a reservation. The pass is your ticket (or more precisely: the barcode in the app).

All you need is your pass and the reservation you booked. You need to be able to show them both.

By the barcode you mean what I get when  I “turn on” a train trip in the app at the my trip section? Because in the My trip section there are the train rutes I selected, and at the right part of every route there is a little thing I can “switch on”, and with that I get a code I suppose. So do you mean that code, and the one I get when I buy the reservation? Sorry for the many questions, but this is my first DiscoverEU trip, and I dont really know how this works.

Correct, when you "turn on” the first train of the day, then the barcode for the day is generated and the button "Show ticket” will become available. It's best not to do that in advance, but only on the day.

A reservation can have a barcode, but that's not always the case. It depends on the operator and where you buy it. As a minimum, it mentions the train route, train number, date, departure and arrival time, carriage and seat number.
