Hi! My group and I just bought the Eurail Global pass and we just had some confusion regarding booking seat reservations on the trains.
- On some legs of our train travel, it says “No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.” Does this mean that we will not get a seat at all, or that we just have to show up and hope that we can find a seat for that train?
- Are we able to book seat reservations through other websites such as Trainline using our Eurail pass, and if so, how does one go about that?
- If a train booking says “open seating only” does that mean first come first serve?
- If our train connection is less than 10 minutes, are we likely to actually make that train?
If you can only answer one of the above questions that is still a major help! We’re just feeling a little overwhelmed regarding the trains and want to make sure we are doing it right :)
