Train Cancelations in Spain

My family has purchased a Global Pass to ride the rails and adventure throughout Europe.  After an exceedingly difficult time figuring out how to plan the trip and finding out that the website and App aren’t linked….I think we’ve accomplished it.

We are flying into Spain and traveling from Madrid down to Malaga….a couple of days later, traveling from Malaga to Barcelona by way of Madrid.

I’ve received an email saying that both reservations have been cancelled.  No explanation why or if the moneys paid will be refunded or whether or not I should attempt to book different reservations.

I’m assuming we’ll be able to travel to our destinations on regional trains?  Is this a safe assumption?

Thank you for your help.

You can get a full refund from the place where you booked if you decide not to travel.

If you still want to travel, then Renfe are obliged to offer an alternative without extra costs.

Check renfe.com to see what alternatives there are for your journeys. Then call them at +34 912 320 320 or go to a ticket office as soon as you're in Spain to rebook.
