We will be taking the train from Tirano to Milan on Wednesday 18th September and plan to catch the 10:08.   I have put my ticket onto my pass.  However when I try to do this with my wife’s pass it only shows the 9:08 or 11:08 trains.  I think the 10:08 is a newly installed train following the engineering works on the line throughout August.  As I recall the 10:08 wasn’t visible on my phone either until September.

Suggestions, please about what I should do to enter the correct train on my wife’s app.

Thanks,

Peter

At least one of the apps is missing an update, so please check for app updates.

A much more reliable source for Italian timetables is trenitalia.com or e.g. the Trenit! app.

Sorry.  How do I check for app updates?  The problem is definitely with my wife’s app.  Trenitalia shows the 10:08 is running that day.

By the way: am I worrying over nothing.   There are no seat reservations for this train, so will the person checking the tickets only be interested in the QR code for the ticket for the correct day?

How to check for updates depends on the operating system. On Android, you can look for the app in the appstore and it should then say that there's an update available, with a button to install the update. Normally though, updates are installed automatically in the background, unless you've turned that off. It can sometimes take a bit of time before an update is installed.

The fact that your app is showing this train doesn't necessarily mean that you have the latest update.

The ticket inspectors usually just scan the barcode and check for the date. Some also check whether their train has been added to the pass.

You can also add a train manually but in this case that shouldn't be necessary.

Thanks so much for your responses.

Both my phone and my wife’s phone in the planner say:”Last timetable updat 10 September 2024” so I find this really puzzling.

Sorry  - could you tell me how I could add a train manually?  Perhaps I should do this if this is the only option.

Please ignore my last message.  I’ve seen how to add manually,
