Hey, I would like to know how exactly the ticket and travel days work.

  1. Can I use one ticket for several train journeys in one night?
  2. how do I activate a trip that I previously saved under “my trip” in the interrail app?
  3. how can I let the app know that I made a seat reservation for a planned trip so that it’s shown in the ticket?
  4. is there a maximum number of trains I can use in the 24 hours after the activation of the pass?

  1. Your pass = ticket. On a travel day (0:00 -23:59 CET) you can take as many trains as you want.
  2. When you link it to the pass you bought.(See this link: https://www.eurail.com/en/eurail-passes/eurail-mobile-pass/getting-started )
  3. You can’t. Reservations are completely seperate from the pass. Show ticket (=pass) and reservation (pdf, paper, on the app of a national carrier) when required, on trains with mandatory reservation.
  4. No, see q. 1. As many trains as you want.

thank you for your answer!

related to the first point, what if my journey starts at 9 pm and ends at 7 am? do I need another travel day for these two days or is the ticket valid for 24h after activating, even its over two days?

Only the date that you board the train is relevant. You can stay on the train after midnight and it will still only be one travel day. Only when you board another train after midnight, you'll need a new travel day.
