Hello everybody! It’s the first time I am doing Interrail and I am kind of confused about travel day. I want to take a train from Frankfurt to Ljubljana that last 12 hours : it starts at 7:30pm on the 16th and arrives at 8:30am on the 17th with a change at 10:30 on the 16th. Does it count as one travel day or two ?

View originalOnly the scheduled departure time is relevant. So if you board the last train before midnight, then it's only one travel day.
Please also verify your timetable on bahn.com or the DB Navigator app since the rail planner app is not reliable enough to plan with.
Reservations in the night train are mandatory; if you haven't booked yet, book ASAP. Tthe best place to book is tickets.oebb.at. Add the Interrail/Eurail discount and then choose "One-way tickets”.
