I am traveling with my daughter (3yo). She does not hold an eurail pass, since you can’t purchase one for minors under 4.
I will be taking trains leaving and returning the European Union (going to and back from London) but I don’t know if she needs to have a booked seat for those trains.
If the child doesn't have a children's pass, you can't book a seat for her. The recommendation is that you "purchase " a free children's pass for a child under 4, which is fully possible, unless you want to have the child on your lap all the time. Free children's passes can only be "purchased" together with an adult pass.
I already have an adult pass, but I did not purchase a child pass since the webpage stated 4-11 and my girl is not 4 yet.
this means I would have to have her seated at n my legs? I mean it’s no great issue, just want to make sure she CAN cross border and board international train without further issue.
