We are a group of 4 travelers that all have Eurail passes.  We are trying to make seat reservations together.  We have 2nd class passes but might want to upgrade to First Class for certain legs of our trip.  Is there an easy way to do that?

In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, an upgrade should be possible but will be expensive: it's basically the difference between the full 1st and 2nd class fares. In Italy I doubt it's possible.

On some railways it is possible, on others it is possible but very expensive, on others it is not allowed at all.

Give more details and someone may be able to provide more specific advice.

Specifically, we’re traveling from Munich to Venice and then Venice to Interlaken.  I only ‘see’ 2nd class reservation available.  I do not see a 1st class option. Thanks for your response!

It is possible for some part but it'll surely be more expensive than an exchange to a 1st class pass.

Domodossola (Swiss border) to Interlaken Ost already costs 42 CHF as an example (upgrade only)
