Hi. I have a problem on booking a seat.
I have a first-class mobile Eurail pass which can be used for 10 days within 2 months.
I want to book a seat on night train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi on 23rd Dec 2021.
As I hope to take a night train, I choose a IRT sleeper single first class.

1. But why the reservation told me that seat availability is unknown?
Does that mean it is uncertain whether I can get a seat or not?
Or does it mean my seat place is undecided? Then when can I know my seat number?
Whatever it is, can I make a reservation? I really have to book a ticket. 

2. Why does it give me a paper ticket though I am a mobile ticket holder?
Then do I need to show my paper ticket when the staff try to check?

Unfortunately, I can't answer your question. I will just say that the day before Christmas Eve is the busiest and perhaps most expensive on the Finnish railways.

I just purchased it and got an email saying ticket will be delivered to me.

And anyone who might have similar problem with me for Q2,

as email told to me, you should show your both e-ticket and paper ticket.

E-ticket means your Eurail mobile pass and paper ticket is what you got from shipping.

So Q2 was solved anyway but Q1 is still being on problem.

I’ll reply it later after I get it.. I hope the paper ticket has my seat number..

Some Reservation can be sold only as PaperTicket even if you have a mobile pass 😕 These “Paper Reservations” have to be send to you / your Hotel/Hostel by mail service as it´s printed in a special sheme and you can´t print it at home like E-Reservations :/

Then the ticket may have a designated seat number, right?

I can’t find my seat number no where.

Yes, the paper reservation will have the details: coach number and seat/bed number.
