I plan to go from Paris to Basel in Switzerland and I’m currently looking for trains. Now the connection that is offered by the app only gives me 10 min to change the train in Strasbourg. What do I do if I miss the train in strasbourg? Can I change the train I want to take right on the station and enter the next one 30 min later?

YOu can use as many trains (in the system) as you can manage that day-but it is assumed that you put in triprecord exactly those trains you use. You could hance indeed do this-and even stopover f.e. in Colmar or MUlhouse for a few hrs to see that town-and continue-and also go onward in Swiss=other country. Or detour via DE=Germany if so wished.
