wanted to ask a tip!
i’ve never done interrail, i just downloaded the app and have my pass;
wanted to ask you what happens if you plan a trip from A to B but you have to change trains, what happens if you lose one connection, can you just jump up on the next train? Is it still valid?

If you miss a connection you should be able to catch the next train (you can then add the new train to your pass) How ever some trains are reservation compulsory if you miss your train and the next one is a reservation compulsory train the RAilcompanies should exchange the reservation with no extra cost for you.
