I know I need to buy my ticket for Sofia to Istanbul at the station. I arrive to Sofia tomorrow morning and plan to get the train to Istanbul that evening. 1. What are the chances there is still availability and 2. Why doesn't the journey show on the planner anymore. The same for Bucharest to Sofia it was no longer showing

Good chance that there's availability since Sofia - Istanbul has multiple couchette and sleeper carriages (as opposed to Bucharest - Istanbul which has only one). But not guaranteed on a Friday night at the end of summer
Does your app have the latest update ? Mine shows both Bucharest - Sofia and Sofia - Halkali (Istanbul) as usual.
