Hi am travelling from Zagreb to Budapest in July on the IC201 1635  arriving 2216 and the app says I need reservations but I just don't seem to be able to do it. Should I just wing it and turn up (and risk not getting to my accommodation in Budapest)? Any advice welcomed. Thanks Martin

It would be new for reservations to be compulsory on that train.

In any case, you can book them on tickets.oebb.at, €3 per seat.

You can do it for 3€ on tickets.oebb.at : add Interrail/Eurail as a discount and select one-way tickets.

There are often better places than Interrail/Eurail for seat reservations :

Availabilty on the day shouldn’t be a problem.

Thank you. Very quick and helpful and reassuring. Looks like you can only book the reservations a week in advance.

They should normally be open 2 or 3 months in advance. But maybe the timetable isn't completely final yet.
