I'm trying to book IC 523 from Zagreb to Split for Apr 29 but it shows up in my pass as May 1. Need some help, thanks.

The app behaves a bit weird; I have to go set it to 27 April and then it will show trains for the 27th and further. However, there's no need to add it to your pass until you're about to board the train.
The only thing you may want to do is to book a reservation; you can do that online on tickets.oebb.at (€3) or at a Croatian ticket office for €1.
